NASPGHAN Celebrates Women’s History Month

According to our 2021 member survey, 56% of NASPGHAN members self-identified as female. NASPGHAN is proud to celebrate the continued contributions made by our female members who have been both pivotal to the success and growth of this society, as well as more globally to the fields of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology!

Recognized as an annual declared month in the US since 1987, Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society. Learn more about Women’s History Month and ways to celebrate at https://womenshistorymonth.gov/

The National Women’s History Alliance designates a yearly theme for Women’s History Month. The 2023 theme is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories” to encourage recognition of those “who have devoted their lives and talents to producing art, pursuing truth, and reflecting the human condition decade after decade.” In this spirit, NASPGHAN remains indebted to the tireless work of female healers and leaders.
