Advocacy

NASPGHAN leaders with guidance from the Public Affairs and Advocacy Committee address issues relating to clinical practice, research and other areas of interest to pediatric gastroenterologists in practice and academic environments. NASPGHAN also participates in coalitions on many issues in order to maximize our effectiveness in advocacy campaigns.

NASPGHAN's Washington advocate interacts with Congress and regulatory agencies on an ongoing basis to help NASPGHAN promote and protect the interests of pediatric gastroenterologists and their patients.
