Two-Part Virtual Course offers Expert Educator and Presenter Training
NASPGHAN is excited to announce the DEEP Program - Developing Educators and Expert Presenters, a first step toward creating a NASPGHAN Speakers Bureau.
This exciting new course is designed to develop a cohort of expert educators who will have the opportunity to improve their presentation skills and feel more confident in their ability to be considered for speaking engagements.
The program will consist of two virtual sessions - didactic and experiential.
Session One: Development and Delivery of a Dynamic Presentation, April 24 8PM ET
Medical education experts, including members of the Medical Education SIG, will offer their best practices on prepping for success, effective teaching, knowing your audience and Powerpoint 101. Reading materials will be provided, and the webinar will be interactive between the audience and presenters.
Session Two: Practice Delivering a Dynamic Presentation
The initial group will be broken down into small sessions with four participants and one expert facilitator each, to be held on various dates and times. Participants will present a short presentation and receive and give feedback within the group.
To be eligible, applicants must be a NASPGHAN member, faculty (graduate of a Pediatric GI fellowship program), and based in North America.
Attendees will be limited to the first 30 applicants who complete all submission requirements. Deadline for applications is March 8, 2024, 11:59 PM ET. Invited attendees will be notified of acceptance and registration details by March 31, 2024.

Only those who participate in both Session One and Session Two will be eligible for CME and MOC Part II, and will receive a certification of completion from the NASPGHAN Speakers Bureau. Please note that completion of the program does not guarantee a speaking role at a NASPGHAN event.
