Happy New Year!

As we all get into the new year, we wanted to take time and acknowledge how incredible our 2025 was for CPNP! Some highlights of the year are included below.

  • Christy Figueredo was awarded the 2025 CPNP Nutrition Advocate Award!
  • Wendy Elverson was awarded the 2025 CPNP Dietitian of Excellence Award!
  • Caitie Hessenthaler received the 2025 CPNP nutrition research grant. We look forward to hearing about her research on ‘Comparing accuracy of length measurements using length board vs length mat in pediatric patients less than 2 years of age’!
  • CPNP social event was attended by many members this year and we had a blast getting to meet in person in Chicago! A total of 129 dietitians attended the annual meeting.
  • 10 dietetic students attended as part of the 1st ever Teaching & Tomorrow Dietetics Program.
  • Our membership was strong with a total of 388 members in CPNP!
  • N2U was attended by 10 dietitians and there were 6 dietitians on faculty.
  • Nutrition Pearls published 15 podcasts throughout the year including bonus episodes.

As we get our 2026 started, we look forward to more engagement through the listserv, podcasts, conferences, and these posts! Continue to use our community to advance the care we are able to provide to our patients and their families.
