“The care of children before and after liver transplantation depends on close partnership among patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. These jointly developed guidelines bring together the collective expertise of leaders across AASLD, NASPGHAN, and AST to provide contemporary, evidence-informed recommendations that support clinical decision-making throughout the transplant journey. More than a decade after the publication of the previous joint guidance documents, they reflect the remarkable progress achieved in pediatric transplantation and our shared commitment to advancing the care and outcomes of children living with liver disease,” said Vicky Ng, MD, FRCPC, President of NASPGHAN.
AASLD’s Practice Guidelines provide evidence-based recommendations and outline appropriate methods of treatment and care for clinicians.
