EoE Grand Rounds Program

You are invited to apply as a grand rounds speaker for a new nationwide program on Eosinophilic Esophagitis.

This program is a NASPGHAN Foundation educational initiative and is supported by an educational grant from Sanofi.

An updated Comprehensive EoE slide deck has been developed which will be launched at the Annual Meeting. In addition, there is a speaker-ready version for use in a standard 40-50 minute presentation. Speakers will have the ability to customize their presentations using slides for the comprehensive deck so that your presentation can be tailored to a particular audience. This activity is designed for pediatric gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, pediatric subspecialists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, trainees, dietitians, and other primary health care professionals who are involved in the care of pediatric patients.

We will support a total of 30 grand round local presentations by speakers approved by the Foundation. An honorarium of $500 per talk will be paid contingent upon receiving appropriate paperwork.

Speakers will be asked to participate in a speaker orientation teleconference scheduled for Monday December 16 at 7pm ET.

The objectives of the grand rounds presentations are that upon completion of the activity, participants should be better able to:

• Define eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE)
• Understand the epidemiology, pathophysiology and genetics of EoE
• Identify the clinical symptoms, allergic manifestations, endoscopic and histologic features of EoE
• List and define the treatments of EoE which include dietary restriction, pharmacologic therapy including biologics and esophageal dilation
• Understand how to manage patients with EoE
• Provide information regarding ongoing and future research on EoE

If you are interested, please complete the application form by October 15, 2024.

Sincerely,

Ann Scheimann, MD President, NASPGHAN Foundation

Barry Wershil, MD Program Chair
