Attainment of the prestigious Fellow of NASPGHAN status is reserved for those NASPGHAN members that have made significant contributions to the field of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology or nutrition. Members with a strong career track record for success as clinicians, physician scientists (MD/DO, MD/DO/PhD) or researchers (PhD/ MSC) in the field of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition are encouraged to apply. Fellow status can be attained by meeting all criteria for either Clinical Practice or Research expertise. The NASPGHAN Executive Council will review all applications, focusing on the quality and breadth of clinical, research and educational contributions and service to the field of pediatric gastroenterology,
hepatology and nutrition.

Eligibility Reguirements
Clinical Practice
1. Current member of NASPGHAN with a minimum of 10 consecutive years of NASPGHAN membership
2. Attendance in at least five NASPGHAN Annual Meetings in past 10 years
3. Active clinical practice in the care of children with GI/Liver/Nutrition disease for the last 10 years
4. Demonstration of significant achievement in practice based on meeting 2 of the 5 following criteria:
• Leadership position in NASPGHAN, local GI society or other medical society
• Recognized community service and/or advocacy related to pediatric GI
• Clinical faculty appointment in a teaching hospital or academic center
• Investigator/ co-investigator for clinical research
• Leadership position in local hospital
Research
1. Current member of NASPGHAN with a minimum of 10 consecutive years of NASPGHAN membership preceding request for Fellow status
2. Attendance in at least five NASPGHAN Annual Meetings in past 10 years
3. Faculty appointment in a teaching hospital or academic medical center
4. Completion of post-doctoral training (i.e. fellowship, PhD, MPH, APRN)
5. At least 20 peer-reviewed full publications
